“Cargo 92”

The origin of “Cargo 92”, an ambitious project initiated by Royal de Luxe to celebrate

the commemoration of the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. The cargo

ship, The Melquiades, becomes the vessel for this artistic odyssey, embarking on a tour

that spans multiple continents and countries. The cargo ship transforms into a stage

that welcomes thousands of spectators. The ship’s hold is ingeniously converted into a

street, where the magic of Royal de Luxe unfolds in a series of mesmerizing performances.

This gallery exhibit at,  www.zulaybecerra.com/,  chronicles the extraordinary journey organized

by the French Mechanical Marionette Street Theatre Company, Royal de Luxe. Converting

a cargo ship named “The Melquiades.” to exhibit and  showcase the artistic brilliance of

four remarkable companies—Philippe Découflé dance company, Mano Negra band,

Philippe Genty puppet company, and Royal de Luxe—joined together to present a colossal

parade known as “The True History of France.”
